The Difference Between Breatharianism and Aetharianism

“The animal’s suffering enters the body through the memory of water. The fruit’s gift of love enters in the same way.”Alchemy of the Aetheric Lifestyle

Aether flows everywhere and through all things.

What is Veganism?

The term vegan points to a moral position, not a form of nourishment. A vegan is someone who believes that animals should not be exploited or commodified. Therefore, the vegan naturally and often only gradually, begins to live a lifestyle that aligns with their moral position. Now, some would argue that one with this belief who chooses to say, wear leather, is not a vegan because that is exploitive and involves animal cruelty. Or perhaps they would simply consider this vegan to be a “bad” vegan. This, however, is not the case, as any vegan’s beliefs remain intact and sound even as their actions do not necessarily always align. It is no different from a Christian who commits sins. This is the nature of being a nuanced and imperfect being who is on a particular path.

What is Breatharianism?

If you Google “breatharianism”, the first result is for “Wikipedia – Inedia”. Inedia is latin for “fasting” and to be sure breatharianism is not simply fasting. So here we find a campaign of disinformation. For those with eyes that see, it is evident that Wikipedia has established itself as the largest corpus of lies ever assembled online and in cahoots with Google’s amplification algorithms, Wikipedia aims to sell a specific narrative. One that is, unfortunately, driven by greed. That realized, it is not surprising that Wikipedia’s description and depiction of breatharianism, is completely wrong.

While breatharianism does involve fasting, it is first and foremost, a spiritual health journey centered around “Prana”; where Prana is the lifeforce energy that flows everywhere and through all things. Other names for Prana include: Chi, Mana, Qi, Gi, Ki, etc.; and of course Aether and The Light. This brings to attention another potentially confusing aspect of the word “breatharian”, since it is not actually air that is replacing dense foods. Here, the breath is more accurately understood as a key aspect of the lifestyle. Like “vegan” in veganism, breatharianism includes the term “breath” in order to highlight this aspect of the belief system. A breatharian does not live off of air but instead has transformed their body to be able to sustain itself using lifeforce energy alone. This transformation of the body requires a multifaceted approach. Furthermore, breatharianism provides the practitioner a more efficient use of Prana, where eventually dense and dirtier fuels can be fully replaced by pure Aether.

Can a breatharian still eat dense food? Of course they can and like the vegan who still wears leather, they are on a path. However, what is different is that a breatharian must slowly transition the body to a point where they can safely stop consuming denser foods to acquire the necessary nutrients for life, while still achieving homeostasis.

Is breatharianism, “inedia”? No, “breatharianism” is not simply fasting. The first thing to know about breatharianism and the pranic lifestyle, is that it is not synonymous with “inedia”. While fasting is certainly one of the many transformational practices, it is ultimately not necessary once a breatharian is able to sustain their body with Aether alone.

In order to gain a deeper understanding, let us first look at the 6 stages of a 72 hour fast. They are:

  • 8 to 14 Hrs – Blood sugar stabilization
  • 14 to 24 Hrs – Ketosis
  • 24 to 36 Hrs – Ketosis, fat burning and neuron regeneration
  • 36 to 48 Hrs – Autophagy
  • 48 to 60 Hrs – Insulin sensitivity reboot and atrophy healing
  • 60 to 72 Hrs – Immune system rejuvenation and stem cell generation

What is key to understanding, is that the breatharian who nourishes the body with Aether alone, is no longer in any of these 6 stages of fasting. It is no longer fasting once the breatharian reaches a state of homeostasis; where their body is in continual detox and hunger is no longer present.

It is unfortunate that “breatharianism” is seen as a destination instead of a path where, like “veganism”, it should be considered to be a journey to align lifestyle with values. It should not be judged, competitive or become tribal. To apply levels or badges to a spiritual practice, in itself, seems to demonstrate a lack of perspective.

This is one reason the name “aetharian” is beneficial. It does not suffer from a history of confusing language, misinterpretation and misunderstanding.

What is Aetharianism?

“Space is not empty. It is full, a plenum as opposed to a vacuum, and is the ground for the existence of everything, including ourselves. The universe is not separate from this cosmic sea of energy.” – David Bolme

Aether is the fifth Hermetic element, also known as the Quintessence. A universal substance, acting as a medium for the transmission of electromagnetic waves, Aether is weightless, transparent, frictionless, undetectable through direct physical measurement and permeates all matter and space. It is the energy for all matter. It is the information and it is the intelligence. It is the incorporeal element that does not adhere to the constraints of time nor of space.

Etemology of the word “aetharian” reveals a compound of the noun “aether” and the suffix “arian”. It can thusly be determined that “aetharianism” refers to a holistic lifestyle aimed at cultivating Aether as the primary source of fuel for the body.

The aetharian lifestyle is one of energy cultivation and mind/body connection. It is a holistic and spiritual health journey, whereby, the practitioner allows energy to be their guide. And through a feeling state, that guides healthful changes in lifestyle, one can move gradually away from denser foods and ultimately have sustenance provided by the purest and cleanest form of energy. That of Aether. It is through this direct connection to nature’s energy source, one is granted a great many gifts, including ultimate wellness and an expansion of one’s consciousness.

And so the question remains, is there a difference between breatharianism and aetharianism or a difference between Prana and Aether? The answer is an unqualified no. That is, if we understand what they truly are. For both reveal an esoteric truth where the frequency of truth always remains the same. It is what all the great religions refer to as, The Light.
