Shamanism is a spiritual practice that involves a practitioner interacting with the spirit world through altered states of consciousness. Cacao is used in shamanic ritual and affects our cultivation of endogenous D M T (E-DMT) on many levels.

Chocolate can be acidifying to our body, thus lowering its vitality (voltage). Raw cacao, however, is high in minerals and low in sugar. It is similar to the difference between a lemon and an orange; where the sour lemon (although acidic) is actually alkalizing to our body.

Cacao helps to cultivate E-DMT by grounding us, opening our heart and optimizing our pineal health.

Earth Element • Root Chakra
Cacao helps to ground us, as it is mineral dense. Grounding plays a key role in our vitality (voltage). The more grounded we are, the more light (electricity) that we can safely hold. Further, parasympathetic dominance of our autonomic nervous system is necessary to cultivate E-DMT.

Water Element • Sacral Chakra
Cacao contains calcium. Proper calcium levels play a vital role in regulating our mitochondrial function and cellular energetics. We maintain proper hydration of our fascia (at the cellular level), through the metabolic pathway of oxidative phosphorylation . This too, is key for our parasympathetic dominance, necessary to cultivate E-DMT.

Fire Element • Solar Plexus Chakra
Cacao is high in tryptophan and serotonin, both of which are limiting factors in our cultivation of E-DMT.

Air Element • Heart Chakra
Cacao contains L-arginine and flavanols. Our body turns these into nitric oxide. Nitric oxide plays a fundamental role in Kundalini rising, oxygen delivery to our mitochondria and the opening of our heart to release oxytocin from our posterior pituitary gland. This ignites the alchemical wedding.

Æther Element • Throat, Third Eye & Crown Chakras
When our pineal is healthy, the alchemical wedding takes place seamlessly. Cacao helps to decalcify our pineal through increased melatonin production. This is due to the mineral magnesium that cacao contains; thus increasing our production of antioxidant melatonin.

The alchemical wedding occurs when, through Kundalini rising and heart expansion, our feminine lunar seed (pituitary gland) releases oxytocin and vasopressin; thus stimulating our masculine solar seed (pineal gland) to upgrade melatonin to DMT and its MAO inhibitor of pinoline.
